I don't think that we realize the importance of society and of human relationships. We are all brainwashed to think that we have to compete against each other, that in order to be happy and succesful, we need to be independent. As the Chinese sage Lao Tzu wrote 2,500 years ago: If there is to be peace in the world, There must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, There must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, There must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, There must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, There must be peace in the heart. Happy Holidays!
